Valentines Day Ideas for all

I spoke last week on my blog about how Valentines this year, for me, is about everyone I love and miss dearly. It’s been such a shocker of a year I think it’s so important to let our nearest and dearest know that we love them and miss them. I thought I’d share a few Valentine’s Day ideas on how we can all do this if you’d like to join in!

If you have some time and are feeling creative; then this Valentines Day Idea is for you:

Send a handmade valentines day card for your loved one. You could craft your own out of any old paperwork you have around your home; an old magazine for example - you could rip out all the pictures - select a colour - traditional red or pink, or something bolder to be different like yellow (a perfect colour for friendship and to send as a Galentine!), then rip the picture up into little 2cm square ish pieces, arrange into a heart shape and stick down onto paper or card. Voilà!

If you don’t have so much time on your hands and want an original and unique Valentines Day idea, then this is for you:

Send a hand illustrated Valentine’s Day card. Show someone who you love and miss that you care for them with a unique Valentines Day card and support a small business at the same time! Yes, you guessed it, I have some lovely Valentine’s Day Cards in my shop of curiosities!

You have a whale loving friend or partner? You got it! You have a nature or mushroom obsessed chum or spouse? You got it! You have a Fabulous Gal pal you want to celebrate? You got it! You have a retro vintage scooter loving amigo or lover? I have you covered! You can check out all of your options here!

If you have kids then this Valentines Day Idea is for you!

Who do your kids love and miss? Send them a card too. The Enchanted Nanny and I have you covered in this department; I’ve designed a printable activity pack with some postcard templates to colour in and post to your loved ones. A perfect simple crafting activity which they can send with love, hugs and glue (and possibly a bit of something that’s left on the breakfast table stuck to it too!).

There’s a fun Valentines Eye Spy sheet included in the pack with some of my illustrations on, and this worksheet can totally pass for some maths home learning… win win!! Plus a sheet of love hearts to colour and gift to their friends and family, or even to use as cupcake toppers! The Enchanted Nanny has set up a super Love themed sensory tray with all the illustrations too.

Just look how open ended these printables are. What a great Valentines Day Idea for your kids! Head over to The Enchanted Nanny page to download your copy.

However you choose to celebrate this year; make sure you take some time out for you and some self care!

As always, thank you so much for being here and for your support for my new business.

Check out last weeks blog if you missed it here, and have a little peruse of my shop for your perfect Valentine or Galentine card here!

You can also follow me on insta here… I’m about to run a little competition in time for Galentines day to say “thank you” as I’ve reached 500 followers on my Instagram account! Win of the week! Yay! Don’t miss out! See you there.
